The place to make a difference
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester.
Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives.

The places where we make an impact
The NCA was formed by bringing together four local hospitals and their associated community services under a group arrangement. The sheer size, scale and potential of our combined service is huge. Together, we’ve a wealth of skills and resources to share and tap into. And, a wide range of career paths for you to develop and explore.
By bringing together our hospital, community and health and social care services, we’ve created individual Care Organisations which deliver high-quality, local care across Greater Manchester, from multiple hospital sites. That’s almost 20,000 NHS experts, caring for more than 1.3 million people in the local community as well as from across the UK and Europe.

Vision 10: NCA 10 Year Strategy
A view of our next decade. Our Vision starts now.
With the Northern Care Alliance becoming one single NHS Foundation Trust on October 1 2021, we now have a clear focus on our ambitions and what we want to achieve.
Over the next decade, it’s our ambition that the NCA will become the safest and most effective organisation in the NHS.
We want it to be a place people all over the country will want to work. We want to challenge inequalities and improve health in all our Places.
We want to help improve the lives of patients, families and carers across all our communities. And of all our colleagues and volunteers within the NCA family – because we know that improving lives means supporting our People to be healthy and happy in their profession.
Our long-term plan, called Vision 10, combines years of listening, feedback and insight from our People, our Populations and our Partners across our health and care services, alongside learning from NHS organisations beyond our own.
