Thank you for your interest in the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group (NCA) and this exceptional opportunity to join us as our new Chief Executive Officer. I hope that you will enjoy finding out more about this exciting role which comes at such a critical time for the NHS.  This site is designed to help you get to know our organisation, our values, and our ambition for our 20,000 strong staff and the diverse populations of around 1 million people that we serve across Greater Manchester (GM). 

I am delighted and honoured to have joined the NCA this year as Chair and I share the Board’s ambition to build on a strong foundation of continuous improvement and work with partners in our localities to deliver a model of place-based integrated health and care services. We are responsible for running a range of hospital and community healthcare services provided through our Care Organisations across Salford, Oldham, Bury and Rochdale. We are also a key partner in the progressive GM Integrated Care System and strongly placed to collaborate with others to reduce inequalities and ensure the best care possible is provided to all patients across the region.  We actively embrace innovation and are committed to building on our reputation for research, education and as a digital exemplar.

Joining us as our new Chief Executive represents a rare leadership opportunity; this is a role of significant scope and profile.  You will provide leadership to a highly experienced Executive team and a talented and dedicated organisation.  After almost five years of joint working the NCA formally will become one legal entity at the end of this summer and our new Chief Executive will be central to ensuring effective governance processes are in place, while seeking opportunities to continually enhance our strong brand and reputation.

We are seeking a strategic, inclusive, and values-based Chief Executive who is experienced in leading complex organisations and long-term service improvement ideally in a multisite environment.  We have developed a strong person-centred culture focused on reducing inequalities, valuing diversity and empowering staff at all levels and as Chief Executive you can build on this to further enhance our position as an employer of choice.  Committed to partnership working, this role will suit an exceptional communicator with a high degree of political acumen.  Your ability to quickly forge trusted relationships with our stakeholders will support our strategy of building place-based services with partners.  Central to our development will be ensuring we continue to be a learning organisation committed to continuous improvement and to embedding research and education.
